That summer was meant to be simple, but for one young boy, it quietly changed everything. Memories of Summer tells the story of Piotrek, a twelve-year-old boy living in a small Polish town in the late 1970s. His days are filled with ordinary moments, warm weather, and a deep emotional attachment to his mother, who is the center of his world. Piotrek’s father is mostly absent, and because of that, his bond with his mother feels even stronger. At first, everything seems normal. Summer days pass slowly, and life feels predictable. But as time goes on, Piotrek begins to notice changes in his mother’s behavior. She starts going out more often, returning late at night, and slowly becoming distant.
